Find a friend with an installed amp, take it to a shop.
People have plugged them into walls to blow em but you probably don't want to do that...
Use a home theater amp.

+1 multimeter. check online for this method its very common method
9 volt battery. Take the positive and negative wires on tap it on the terminals. The subwoofer will thump if it's working.
