Default Is it worth trading '07 Mazda 3 GT Sedan (2.3L) for a 2010 Mazda 3 GT Sedan (2.5L)?

There's a 2010 Mazda 3 GT Sedan (non-luxury package) going used with 105,000km going for $13995. Is that a good price for a 2010 GT? My current '07 has the same mileage 105,000. What kind of trade-in would it likely be and is it even worth it?

Both cars are Automatic. Do the 2010+ models use the same crappy Ford auto as Gen 1? Does it have the same unsmooth shifting the Gen 1's have?

Also is the power difference btw the two cars noticeable or not really?

I've tried both first and second gen. The difference between the hatch I drove and my 2gen are:

The second gen steering is much smoother

Acelleration 2gen is a little bit more responsive.

The second gen engine is the same as the new focus from what it looks side by side. (my sisters bf has the nw focus)

Second gen is much more spacious

HP difference on the book is almost nothing.

I wouldn't trade it, save few k more and get a Speed or something different.

Best thing is to trade and add on top. Either speed or lesser km. If nothing is wrong with the car then keep it until spring!

I personally wouldnt go for a car that has over 100K in only 2 years.Yours is 5 yrs old with the same mileage...You should trade yours in either for a lower km car or get a speed

i would say no as your going to a car with 3,000 km less then your car and it already looks like it needs $2,000 of headlights replaced. those are wicked hazed. save your money like others have said and get something new new, or newer with lesser km and roll your car in. but if i were you. id keep the 07

Headlights should be covered under warranty still, right?
100k in two years is actually a good thing. That means virtually all of the mileage is highway km's, and it brings the price down a ton. Also, it's a three year old car, not two.

Personally, I wouldn't make the trade if your car is running fine still... but a young high mileage car is not necessarily a bad thing.

I would keep what you have.
But why are those headlights to hazy?

My car is running decent, I'm just not happy with the shifting; it's just not smooth at times and throttle response is very slow sometimes. I figured a Gen 2 would have a better transmission and improved throttle response.

Also I've never driven manual so MazdaSpeed 3 is not an option; it's also not within my budget either.

Look around for lower mileage. I got my sedan (accident) for cheap with 27k

unless its part of the service bulletin they are only covered until 3 years or 80,000km.
