Default Replacement for plastic underbody panels

So theres a flap of plastic hanging down under the front driver side (its the panel you would pull back to change fog lights) but it seems to have permanently come down (maybe a squirrel got chewing on it and now it looks like its been bent back and permanently pointing down) so it scrapes on steep ramps etc.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fashion a replacement part to fill the hole as well as keep the remaining pieces flush with the rest of the panels?

OEM parts are quite expensive, I think its a couple hundred since its connected to the wheel well part as well (one big plastic piece) so I'm looking for more of a DIY solution.

Since you say it is hanging down, my guess is where the clip is suppose to hold it up is broken. It might just be the clip that's broken and you just need to buy a new clip (probably under $1). Otherwise, just drill a new hole on the panel itself, and another one on the bumper, and ziptie them together.

If that piece (I'm assuming it's the wheel well liner) has been dragging along the pavement, there's a very good chance that part of the liner has disintegrated, and now there is a gaping hole.

    1. buy a new piece (roughly around $160-$170)
    or
2 Find a piece of plastic that would fit & fill up the hole & staple the piece to the remaining wheel liner & splash shield.

boyracer is right, it has disintegrated from what I can see.

zip ties are a great idea for keeping them together, any ideas on where I can find some similar thickness of black plastic sheets? does home depot have some weather sheeting I can buy and cut to size?

Anything would do really. Hell, you could probably use those Magic Carpet things that kids use to ride down the hill.

Might want to call the dealer. I picked a similar piece up for a different car and was surprised that they were pretty cheap. YRMV

Did show this to the dealer before, they quoted me at least a $200+ for parts I think which was out of my range for something that isn't visible unless you're under the car!

You can get it cheaper if you purchase that part from an affiliated dealer with TM3 (the TM3 discount on parts).
