I'd probably bake them open, install angel eyes or leds or whatever and paint them for 250 plus expenses. I posted in my FS thread I'm selling headlights with AE installed and they are currently baked open. If you're interested in a fun set of headlights just let me know and I'll help ya out. If you just want to do it yourself feel free to ask for help or any questions. It didn't go perfectly but its gotten a lot better. Learned a lot. I've baked 4 sets of headlights now. All success woo. And restored two sets of headlights fairly well.

Thanks for all the compliments I plan on doing the fog light rings white! As well as some other random things

Looks like you did some nice work!! love the look of white housing on there own but find it really hard to like when they are installed. Might just be too far from the norm for me.

Ya I can understand that. I thought about doing body colour (winning blue mica) housing to make it smoother and more oem. It was a tough decision but in the end I wanted something a little more daring. I appreciate the feedback!

Great night shots! Really shows how bright the angel eyes are and how unique this setup is. Hope you can get that other one going soon.

Ya they are! I bought the ebay ones that are supposed to be identical to the orion V2's but contain the relay and the turnsignal light. The output is great. Actually makes a big difference. I appreciate the kind words and I hope so too.

Looks F*cking awesome dude. The white housing goes so nicely with the winning blue.

Do you remember how much the spray can was from Paint Circuit Autobody Supply?

I got Winning Blue, CWP, Clear Coat, and Adhesion Promoter for like 70 dollars from Kris. It was just a deal he was doing before he moved though I'm not sure what the price is normally. I ended up just using a plastic primer for the base coats though, 5 bucks at CT.

    Thanks!

Du Pont. I took a picture of the can on the first page of this thread.
I scuffed them, all of them including the chrome rings and then took them outside to my little corner that I seal as best I can to prevent things like wind/dust./dirt from affecting it. I then applied a thin coat of adhesion promoter (Spray can), waited an hour and then scuffed again lightly and applied another layer of adhesion promoter.Always cleaning with rubbing alcohol before spraying. At this point it was late in the day so I let them dry all night. I then scuffed just very lightly with 2000 grit the next day and applied a cheap CT primer to all of the objects... super light coats, 4 I think, only waiting 10-15 between coats. At this point it became very clear that without the adhesion promoter the paint wouldn't have stuck. Certain spots where the adhesion promoter hadn't reached did not hold paint well. Unless it was applied extremely lightly it would run. And badly. Twice I had to sand and apply extra layers of primer super thin to make it even.

I then scuffed again with 2000 to get rid of any dust/dirt/what not that was stuck, cleaned with Rubbing Alcohol and applied one coat of pearl white to all the pieces (Just incase the primer didn't get it all and because I wanted a bit of white sparkle. Then for the pieces that were getting blue mica I sprayed 5 very light coats of winning blue and for the white ones I sprayed 5 very light coats of pearl on top of the one I already did. I know some people will think it's too much paint but I do very light coats to maintain an even dispersal and prevent running. Also between each coat I would scuff with 2000 very lightly (probably in vain mostly) to eliminate particles that would get trapped during the drying process (shit still got in there). Then 3 coats of clear coat applied a little heavier and I let it dry for another full day.

That was about it... and when I painted the projector housing I just used painters tape and a used microfiber cloth to keep the area I didn't want sprayed free from paint.

Sorry for the detailed reply. Hope it's helpful! I found what made the biggest difference was having an even coat of primer and making sure to apply light quick moving even coats (more rather than less). TBH I still messed up a lot but I'm getting much better.
    Cheers
