Default Buying a 2005 Mazda 3 GT tips and price

    Hello guys!

This is my first post and I'm from Vancouver. I need some information on what to check for on the vehicle. I was looking into this 2005 Mazda 3 hatchback GT. I only found minor rust in 3 locations. First one was at the top of the roof where there was a 1.5 inch scratch mark and the entire 1.5 inch line was rusted. Second location was the rear wheel wells it starting to form specs of rust. I'll be honest, the vehicle looked like it has never been washed since 2005 but they have most of the maintenance record of the vehicle.

    Price $7000
The vehicle has 145000km and has leather seats.

What should I actually pay for the vehicle as $7000 seems quite high.

    Thanks!

    Hi Tonic.
Try this site for prices. Also compare on Autotrader what other 2005 GTs are selling for. If the rust bothers you, then I would look for another without visible rust. Also check for any accident repairs.
From my quick research, it seems fairly priced. You may be able to squeeze a few hundred dollars off the price by saying that rust repair is going to cost you a fair bit but it's priced competitively after checking Autotrader in your area and this site.

See what he/she says at a $6000 offer.
