    Default Brake line flare.

I did a google search and didn't come up with any Mazda 3 specific answers.

Anyone know the type of flaring used for Mazda 3 brake lines. I am assuming its a double flare but am hoping it's not a bubble flare which is used a lot for metric brake lines.

The reason I am assuming its double is the rx7 apparently uses this method.

    Thanks a lot.

IIRC it is NOT a bubble flare, just a regular one.

Ok good. That's what I figured. Having someone else suspect the same thing is enough for me.

No first hand experience with Mazda, but I did have to replace a brake line on my Ford Focus and it had double flare. Mazda is most likely the same as they share a lot of parts with Ford.

I should have responded here. Lol.

I completed the job and confirmed as much as I could

The Mazda 3 seems to use double flare. good thing to. It took me a while to do a proper flare on a scrap piece of line.

Been looking into this lately and still not 100% sure what the flare is. Although after removing the line from my car, it looks like it is a bubble flare with M10x1.0 nut on my 2009 Mazda 3 GX. Not sure if any mechanics can confirm 100% but I have a photo. This is at the connection to the flex line on the rear end.
