It's already filled up...they're trying to add a few more spots but I'd imagine they're spoken for by now.

    - 2021 Porsche Macan GTS -
    - 2016 Lexus NX200t F Sport -
    - 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 Black Mica - SOLD -

Good to hear! How does it compare to the 2.5? I guess the torque must be impressive

its 165hp and 310tq. you wouldnt think it has any less then 200 thats for sure. tons of power and smooth acceleration. you can see the intercooler in the front as well behind the grill or at least what i had thought it was as i didnt open the hood. but car for car its obvious faster as double the tq. but still solid cars be it gas or diesel. the gas i think is rated combined 5.8l/100km and the diesel is around 3.8L/100km if my memory is correct which would put the diesel just as efficent as the pruis.

    hey now...
interested to c the longevity of this diesel engine. remember the 24 hours le mans race where all 3 broke... still awesome to c a diff engine.

i felt the power came on more mid range then low end which is odd since peak torque is at 2000rpm. They have the European diesel model which is our GT with diesel engine. Very nice vehicle wish we got to take it on the road to fully experience real world driving in the diesel. The 2014 Mazda6 is a much better car overall even with the 2.5L gas engine

That's not a fair comparison those motors are nothing like a stock one.

Would you trade in your 3 for the diesel?

if it was a diesel 3, maybe but i wouldnt trade my 0% finance for a 4.9% on a 6 when my 3 is 2 years from being paid off. but if they didnt come with a diesel 3, maybe the 6 would be the next car. but more likely the cx5. but i also really like my car and if by the time they have the next "speed" come out. it might be an option as well. but no i wouldnt trade my 3 for a diesel 6 right now. just would be a waste of $$ but if i was in the market for a new car i would be all over it

was pretty fun, but not overly impressed with the new diesel. the 2.5l engine felt stronger, just my 2cents. but the car as a whole is just sleek and is a very nice car. surprisingly, the optima felt really stable and had good power. worst car which had no stability was the jetta, very scary.

yea the optima wasnt bad. not a fan of the carbon fiber interior trim. and it did have tons of power but try driving it in the rain like i did with the traction control on. it pretty much turned the whole car off and the power was not useable. and with the T/C off the car was all over the place.

honda accord.. well was gutless and just not a car i could ever drive. the blind spot motors i dont know why only the passenger got a camera and the drivers didnt, but the inside didnt impress me at all.

vw jetta.. is ok.. classic vw so didnt stand out in anyway and is fun if you like driving a boring car that feels like it has no power and handles like a tank.

ford fushion- was actually one of my favs. felt it had enough power but wasnt too much like th optima where it was not useable. the outside looked amazing and the inside was nice. the seats were very comfy but i didnt like the volvo ish dash and rear sortage behind the trim. and the wipers was hard to like when they go from the middle to the outside and when on the drivers would not go lower then 25% and the passengers would go right to the bottom. otherwise was very fun to drive and handled well.

i had the exact same feeling from the ride and drive. I was fighting with the steering wheel of the Passat the entire drive

^^ I will say this for the new technology. pretty cool, yet slightly intimidating. told to drive 20-30km into a wall and dont brake. the brakes worked by themselves to avoid a collision. not sure if this is a good or bad thing yet. and the blind spot lights and warning was neat. also conditions in the early morning were perfect, no rain and not really wet.

was there saturday morning at 10.

Tons of fun with the wet pavement. Diesel 6 with TCS off! I wanted to do two or three or 5 laps.....Handling to me felt just like my mazda 3 on prokit/koni yellows without the harshness. The crappy pavement quality was no issue!

Transmission was pretty good too, held gears no weirdness and very quick.

    Strong consideration for next car....

Not much more to add than what is here. Excellent car, handles well, feels strong and just absolutely amazing interior. I owned a 2004 Mazda 6 GT, fully loaded and it was nothing compared to this ride. What a difference a few years and a little technology makes.

I would contemplate buying one if they can increasing the horsepower. Coming from a V6 mazda 6 and then on to a Mazdaspeed 3, it did feel a little gutless when I came on to it hard. Otherwise a great car.

Definitely spotted a few members. Good to see such a strong turn out even with the cold. One of the organizers pulled me aside after my second run through the performance course and asked me to slow it down a bit. haha oops. I wanted to feel the power through the slalom
