From talking to one of the youngins' at work I believe the 1 plus 2 has dual sim capacity which would be useful to incorporate a personal and business phone into one or a US and CDN sim card into one if you spend a lot of time in the US

Yes it has dual sim. Not sure about the no NFC. Don't really use that. The specs look pretty good

I am seeing Phantom of the opera this weekend at the princess of whales theatre with my $260 seats won at my Christmas party. Because the seats were free I would like to take my GF out to dinner at a nice restaurant (we are dressing formally for the night too). Can you recommend any outstanding restaurants in the area?

(Question about LEDs in new car's headlights/taillights.
Mostly the LEDs in econoboxes nowadays, not the solid LED strip (Audi, merc) but the individual LEDs that are now used on the bottom of the headlight/3rd brake light/ taillights...)

How do you fix an LED that has burnt out/stopped working? I followed a recent taxi Camry with one not working and it looks terrible. I'm assuming they are not sold at CT or even accessible in anyway?

I haven't taken apart any OEM LEDs but I'm pretty sure most of them are going to require either swapping the entire light assembly or at least the whole LED assembly. Usually the individual LEDs are not easily replaceable in those series, nor appropriate individual LEDs sourced.

It's usually on a pcb board, so they just swap out that.

Oh great Loki & tidal wave of TM3 opinions:

I have to replace a tire - I hit a bad potholes which shifted a chord and created a golf ball sized bubble in the sidewall. Found it this weekend when I plugged a slow leak - wood screw FTW.

Do I suck it up and buy 2 replacement tires now

    Or

Throw 2 snows on the rear now for a few weeks until it is actually cold to swap all the tires.

Basically would the savings of buying (2) 205/50/17 tires next year be worth running winters now for the meantime.

I'd just throw all 4 winters on now. Just drive responsibly, it's getting cold enough now that it won't destroy the soft winter compound that much.

I drive mostly at night in the city as well so that helps.

I’m switching to my snows pretty much now as well because I’m just not getting the performance out of my PSS that makes it worth keeping them on

My Bridgestone Potenzas were breaking loose like no tomorrow today!

Next question is, do I buy new rotors, or machine the slotted and drilled ones I have?

Rotors are cheap, buy new ones...and not slotted/drilled crap.

    Default Question Corner with loki

    Rotors aren't cheap. $100 isn't cheap.

$18 a rotor is cheap. Lol. The slotted and drilled are just a tiny bit warped, enough to feel it in the steering wheel. They have great life left on them.

Well, seems like you've already made up your mind then and the question was pointless.
