Question difficulty finding hid fog info

I picked up some HIDs for my low beams and fogs today. Installed low beams effortlessly. What is the best approach to do the fog lights? Can someone show me the correct forum I have not found yet or show me a couple pictures of what I am doing? Do I go through the wheel wells or take the bumper off?

You can go through the wheel well, but it might be a pain the first time if you have to place the ballast some where. I'd suggest taking off the bumper. Just go around the outside of the bumper and remove any pushpins and screws and then pull it off.

For 1st gen you can go in from underneath. Remove the screws from the undershield where it attaches to the bumper and it can be pulled down enough to get good access.

I was joking as in, when the hid bulbs die down the road I am not fixing again and I will sell. I just really do not enjoy dealing with the pushpins.

Could not agree more, it never goes back on the same way it came off. Guess it's the trade-off for being so easy to work on

Agreed. That's how I did mine as well. Thank goodness another memeber supplied this info for me at the time, as I was about to take off the whole bumper.

I just installed LED fogs, went through the wheel well/skid plate. Toughest part was getting rid of the metal bulb shield. Not sure you have to do that with HIDs. Passenger side is easier because the drivers side has the intake resonator, unless you've gotten rid of that

The reflector wasn't designed for a HID bulb and was designed for a halogen. It might look "cool" but it will make your light pattern worse...
