Default Hiding amps beneath cargo liner (hatch)

I've been considering hiding my amps beneath the cargo liner in my car, and was hoping to get feedback on whether this would be a bad idea or not. My main concern is whether they would tend to overheat due to a lack of ventilation. My plan was to carve sections out of the foam that surrounds the spare, and seat the amps in there. Has anyone done this before, that could chime in? Is this a bad idea?

I've been running my two amps under the cover for 7+ years now. What I do on Very hot summer days is lift the cargo cover up. It will stay open in place at about a 70 degree angle. Anyother times no worries.

Check my profile pics for my installation.
