    Default New MS3 owner

    Hey everyone,

    Picked up a 2012 mazdaspeed 3 two weeks ago, I was driving a 2009 mazda rx8 R3, but we had a baby and my wife need something a little bigger. I am glad I convinced her to get the MS3. I am in the Oshawa/Brooklin area.

    So far, I bought a Cobb AP, downpipe, SRI, TIH and RMM. I installed the SRI, TIH and RMM on the weekend. I am still waiting on fuel pump internals, forve v2 BPV and iridium plugs that I ordered. Looking forward to getting those in and a custom tune.

    Welcome to the forum and that's quite a few parts! (As someone who knows nothing about cars, I am assuming you only bought the wheels and now assembling and engineering the car from scratch)

    Anyway, would love to see the car and what you are doing with it!

    No cosmestic changes planned right now, just want to try and get it up in the 300whp range. It is definitely faster than the rx8, but the rx8 has it on handling for sure.

    Interesting. I was thinking it might be due to the weight, but I looked up the RX8 and the MS3 seems to only be about 100kg more. Must be the lower stance and suspension perhaps?

    Looks like you have done your research which is good, you should look into an Oil catch can and EGR delete if you want to keep your intake valves clean. Atleast get the OCC, the EGR delete is just an extra thing to do to keep the clean.
