Is this engine knocking sound?

I am not sure it is knocking or not.

You can here the repeated hammering sound between injector noise.

The engine is Skyactiv 2.0 liter engine.

I recorded the engine sound using voise recorder.

I hear what your talking about but don't think it's anything to be concerned about.

We're you holding your recorder inside the engine bay? That was pretty loud.

I put voice recorder 30cm away from the engine. ( not inside the engine bay. but you can hear tapping noise from 40 sec in the file)

I can't re-open the file.

Keep in mind. I'm a driveway mechanic, not a trained or licensed mechanic. So if you have deleted the file put it back up so others can hear and give their opinion.

Mazda3 GS Skyactiv engine noise
Year : 2012
ODO: 16000km
(2 Liter gasoline direct injection engine)
I did not think this was normal so I took it back to the dealer and the mechanic said there was nothing wrong with it.
I've been to a dealership and complained about this annoying tick and he say it's normal.
I don't know why the engine makes tapping noise.
