looking to buy 2013 Mazda3, what about the rust issue?

Hi all,

I'm New here and i am looking for the hatchback car. currently im driving integra and the rust problem already happened since this is a 15 yrs old car. Now I'm looking for the 2013 Mazda 3 sport hatchback with fit my budget and what i need. However, my fd's brother who working in body shop just notify me. There is a rust issue on all Mazda car. He also mentioned the rust problem will be happened after 2 yrs of new car.

i can't imaging the new car having the serious rust issue nowadays. So, do you guy having the rust issue and how it goes? i wanna keep the car for while, like 10 yrs. Please advise and thank you.

Well, I believe it is pretty hard to say on a 2013 model, considering it has only been about a year. Mine is still fine... And I am on a 7 year financing, so I am indeed putting hope into it being rust-free as much as possible for as long as possible.

I am sure that with proper care and attention there shouldn't be any problems for a while.

I have a 2010 with 0 rust. 130,000 km so its not like it sits around. Just wash the vehicle when needed and dont forget to spray underneath.
