Default HIDs + Angel Eyes + LED strip + Disable DRL + Indy Fog Mod

Car: 2006 Mazda 3 GT Hatchback
    Stock Lights: Halogen

What I want to do is have the HID’s run only at night (tap into parking lights), have the Angel Eyes and led strips run during the day. I also want to be able turn the fog lights on whenever I want as well so I can use them as DRL as well.

I have researched many different threads and forms and here is what I have come up with.

I want to do this Fog Mod: http://www.mazda3forums.com/showthread.php?t=283952

I have ordered DDM Tuning HID’s (35w, H7, 5000k). Got the Spacers from them as well.

I want to use this wiring harness: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/130874218988?...84.m1497.l2649.

    And this Capacitor:
    http://www.ebay.ca/itm/370855568375?...84.m1497.l2649

Here is a diagram of how everything should plug in:

I want to use the Angel Eyes and the led strips as DRL’s so I want to tap them into a fuse that only gets power when the car is turned on or the keys are turned to acc.

Does anyone know what fuse I should tap into on a 2006 Mazda 3 Hatch?

Let me know if there are any problems with what I have outlined above.

Do you want the Angel Eyes?LED's to run ONLY during the day? If so you will need to run a relay that will shut off the Angel Eyes when you turn on the HID's. If not, the easiest way is to run a seperate switch.

I want the angel eyes and LED strips to stay on when the HID's are on. With the switch should I tap into a fuse or just run it right from the battery?

You won't need a switch if you want the Angel eyes and LEDs to stay on all the time. IIRC, some people have tapped the wiring to the cigarette lighter.

What I have is a switch for fogs and angel eyes - separate switches. Then just normal HID's wired up for low beams. Keeps it fairly simple. I keep the fogs in the on position and they automatically turn off after a short time of the car being off. Essentially just DRL's but with a switch option.

My closing thought -- I hate LED strip lighting on 3's. I have only ever liked halo0's on M3F.

Do you have the switch for Angel eyes wired into a fuse in one of the fuse panels or just a switch directly from the battery?

Ya I'm just going to do the indy fog mod so that the fogs will be my DRL. So your HID's run all the time then as DRL's? I want my angel eyes to stand out during the day and when I use my remote start in the winter so I don't want the HID's to be on at the same time.

I also have an after market alarm that flashes the parking lights when I unlock and lock the doors. Will that be a problem if I wire the HID's to the Parking lights?

If I wire the HID's into my parking lights will it be a problem if I have an aftermarket alarm? When I lock and unlock my doors the parking lights flash so I was wondering if this would be a problem for HID's.

I just found a similar issue on another forum about getting rid of the flickering in my HID's when I lock/unlock the doors. They were saying to use a time delay relay. This should prevent the HIDs from coming on when I lock/unlock my doors. I will post back if this ends up solving my problem.

Angel Eyes and Indy Fog Mod done. Going to change the Fog lights to LED's so that the color matches the Angel Eyes better. Angel Eyes were $40 from ebay. Hopefully they hold up. I wasn't sure how visible they would be during the day but they are actually noticeable during the day.
