    Default black housing question

I wanted to do my own black housing and installing Halo lights on my 2013 skyactiv non GT( the gs with the base model styled lights) and i really dig the look of black housing

i want to keep for effectiveness of the reflective highbeams and DRL or make it non permanant. i know the halo lights could replace my drl's but...

is it possible to take the assembly and plasti dip it instead of regular paint? use VHT nightshade on the inside so it could reflect abit or try a really glossy black?

just paint the housing for the projector, and change out the amber thing on the side of it, and maybe put some tint on the inside, but light, and dont use nightshade if you want it non permanent, but the thing is, you wont want to open these up, atleast i wouldnt, which is why im going to buy a second set before i try this :p

Paint is the best bet, even though it is permanant. That way you also have the option of a gloss finish as well. I'd be concerned about the plastidip burning. And VHT might work? I've never used it myself but I'd be weary of using it for something other than its intended use.

Plastidip works fine, but just be careful not to get it on the chrome around your highbeams.
