So I've never got my car rust proofed before. I kept putting it off for whatever reason the past few weeks. Now that we have got dumped on (here in Stratford at least) is it too late to still get my car rust proofed?

Would anyone have knowledge in this?

Its never too late for Krown as it is a water repellant.
Although applying it cooler temperatures doesn't allow it to seep into places as easily has when the weather is warming and the product is thinner.

If you plan to keep your vehicle for years go for it.

You should still continue to rust-proof it so that at least you prevent it from getting too much worse. My underbody (presumably along with a lot of other people's) has a significant amount of surface rust in a lot of places, but I continue to rust-proof it every year.

You're fine. Even with krowning a car from day 1 you're still gonna get surface rust on the underbody of the car.

Applying krown over rust won't hurt anything, it'll seep in and push out the moisture which slows it down. Apply a tar-like undercoating over the rust will trap the moisture and actually speed up the rust process.

Good to know! Thanks guys, I wasn't sure if it would be pointless now or if it would speed up the process.

I was driving without a bumper cover last winter for about 2 weeks and she got super rusty so I unmounted it and cleaned it right up and just spray bombed it. But when I was under there I noticed rust under the car, nothing compared to the bumper but yeah.

After the discount, it ends up being $95 cash price. A little more if you're not paying cash.

I noticed mine dripping when I had it done but it didn't drip nearly as what I was expecting it to.

Now that I've had it for a month I can see it really built up on my hatch and license plate and rocker panels. Seems it leaks back as I drive.

Got my car sprayed at Krown on Lakeshore by Igor.. Super nice guy, and was in and out within 30 minutes.

Should I be concerned how quickly it went? Or can I chalk it up to their expertise dealing with all these mazdas lol

Had my car sprayed yesterday at Krown lakeshore.

I decided to try this location as the Scarborough location that I have been to for the past 2 years has been rather mediocre in service and quality (dirty store, grumpy staff, and long wait times, crazy overspray)

I asked for the tm3 discount which is still good and paid in cash which came to 95$. The car was sprayed in around 30 min and they did a good job. Service was more than friendly and the store was very clean.

I live at York mills/ don mills and it was well worth the drive to Mississauga. Will be going here from now on.

I have one funny complaint: the guy who brought my car out front had slick boots so my clutch was covered in solution. This made gear changes back to browns line / 427 pretty entertaining

Its well worth the trip to lakeshore krown. A bit of driving + cash + asking for the discount can save you $40 next time.

It's always been that price (for TM3 members paying in cash) so I doubt he'll stop that anytime soon.
