wheel wells filled with snow! what to do?

hi! i was just wondering if other people have the same problem i do. whenever winter rolls around, snow always gets built up in my wheel wells, and i always have to poke it with a stick whenever i get home so all that brown slush doesn't freeze into ice. anyone have ideas how to avoid this? i was thinking mudflaps or something. if so, any recommendations? thanks!

Mudflaps won't help with the stuff inside your well, but will prevent slush sticking to the area between the wheel and the door.

It never bugged me, whenever I can just kick it off, or it'll just be a warm day and it'll just melt off when driving.

Mine is in the garage but will be taken out to do the occasional donut in the snow. So no snow in the wells.

nothing really will stop this problem. Unfortunately your just going to keep knocking it or poking at it

Spray your wheel wells with silicone spray and it helps the snow and ice not stick. Works great.

and I'm guessing the snow would just get stuck to the mud flaps? *shrug

I say try this. Other then that. Suck it up like everyone else in the world. Or just leave it and let the blocks of ice drop on the highway like everyone else does.

When it snows.. make snow balls.. nothing you can do about the slush.. it'll build up no matter what you do.

Yeah, I've honestly never done a thing about this unless it's to the point where my car starts to shake.

I park in an underground garage, so if I don't kick the snow out when I get home I usually do it in the morning after it's melted a bit.

There is no way to avoid it, silicon or not. Just take the time to clean it out with a stick. I use a paint stir stick, taped on the jabbing end, incase of a inadvertent hit on a painted area ;-).

theres a teflon spray they use on snow plows that keeps snow from sticking to the plow blades. maybe that will work? :/ other than that you can drive on a rough road and that should shake things loose
