Default car vibrating (shaking) at 80-100km.

    Hi

    I have 07 mazda 3 hatchback GT,

I just had AOTELI Set of 4 205/50R17 93W P607 tires from kijiji.

personally, I really liked it the way it looks tire tread and rubber (very soft) also very quiet.

but on highway, I found the car has little shaking or vibration underneath around 80-100km.

when the car is over 100km like 130-40km, It is ok, no more worse vibrations.

only 80-100km has vibrations i can feel.

I went my friend's shop to do balancing.

they found the tire shop where I bought the tires, they did pre bad balancing.

so, my my friend's shop made it ZERO balancing, which looks great.

another day on highway, I definitely can feel less vibrate than last time, but somehow still there, sometimes get worse, sometime not too bad.

next day, I went to aliment, after that, it seems nothing improve.

    here is points.

    1. Balancing done
    2. aliment done

    but still shaking.

is it Tires problem? (because chinese cheap brand? )

    or any thought?

what wheels are you running?? if its not oem and the center bore isnt perfect, the wheels could be off center. to correct this you need to get hub rings

If you think it is the wheels, Get a roadforce balancing done. It will check the tire and rim for any defects as well.

I had the same problem and had the roadforce done and found I had 2 out of round tires, Changed them and the vibration is pretty much completely gone.

    wheel is 17inch OEM

roadforce balancing was done (2nd time in my friend shop) .

One of wheel was pre bad balancing like 1.00 and 1.25 something like that but my friend balanced in 0

I drove on 401 highway most time in daily.

before installing new tires, it wasn't shaking like that, there are noise because tires worn out so much.

I will try it roadforce balancing one more time. we will see.

    Thanks you guys ,

Check your Number 3 and 4 motor mounts.
There is a TSB from Mazda saying when they fail they will cause vibration around the 55mph range.

    The TSB is 03-003/10

Since you got the tires on Kijiji they might not have even wearing, if the tires are warped at all you might experience a "hopping" feel

Do you have any suspensions noises? Low speed clunks for example?
Canada gave us rust and DRL. Thanks for nothing Canada!

Not sure how new the tires are, but if any of them were plugged they could be warped.

huh? How could a plugged tire be warped.... unless you knowingly drove on a flat tire for a long time

    I found something new,

I think CV axle is bad, when i drive and reverse or reverse and drive, there are clicking sounds(something breaking sound),

does bad CV axle possibly cause vibrating(shaking) at any speeds? It seems shaking even on 40-60km but not so much i can feel.

another one is engine mount, I tried rev around 2000rpm in parking mode, I could definitely feel vibrating. I think tires are ok.

Let me try fix these things first, and then i will update it.

    Thanks guys.

this is what I was told on a similar thread of my own by @MazdaMike02...

"Another possibility is a CV shaft. May have been fine at stock height, and now with lowering springs the shafts have to operate at a different angle which may not be optimal. It might be that one the shafts have just gone bad causing a vibration. This type of vibration (unless really bad) only occurs around highway speeds (100-120)."

Incorrect tire direction will not affect balancing. It only affects tires ability to disperse water or snow in tread.

If your car wasn't vibrating before changing tires then it is not your CV joint... I would check the centering of your rims on the hub as they are not OEM or hubcentric. Centering rings will probably help. Your CV joint is priority.
