hmm most people wont. Have you ever driven with a shifter extender? mines like 3.75" tall and when i threaded it on with my knob, i personally didnt like how tall it was when i dont have a short shifter, but the motion was smoother. I kept the extender in the car thought incase any members want to try it out before pulling the trigger on buying one

oh and the thing will get in your way everytime you use the radio, just a heads up. Oh and it also gets in the way of grabbing anything I.e lunch bag/knapsack/purse out of the pass seat because it gets caught or you smack the knob
