    Default 2013 interior rear seats

Hey guys, I need a shop or something that can fix a cigarette burn by re-upholstering the seat, I had a guy fill it that my dealer recommended but the fill came out today and I'm pretty pissed because it cost me 100$, I don't wanna be pushed around anymore so if anyone knows a good legit shop that'll do a fine job please let me know. Thanks.

+1 unless it's family. A good friend should definitely offer without having to ask. Hope you fix this!

How do you guys let people smoke in your cars? I don't permit any food or beverages in my vehicles. Smoking would result in never setting foot in the car ever again.

I have to blame myself, the smoke came flying back in the window after I flicked it.

I pay all this money each month for the car, I am going to smoke and enjoy it.

Well in more detail it was my buddie who burned it, I charged him for it, and then a guy the dealer recommended came and filled it with a material, that lasted about 2 months it didn't hold up to people in the car. He gave me warranty on it, so I made an appointment to fix it this coming Monday but with that said I want the seat with brand new fabric so stitching would have to happen, the guy said he's trying something new this coming Monday, but I'd really like to have new fabric.

Even if you stitch the seat it is going to be super noticeable. If you want this to be a proper repair you are going to need a new seat cover on the portion that is burned. The last I checked through the dealer they are $$

I second the dollars, the drivers seat back was badly worn on mine after only 6000K so was replaced under warranty, The price for the back cover was over $350.

BTW it was showing wear again at 13000k I said screw it and installed a complete Katzkin leather interior.

But for one in almost new condition is probably $50-100 at a scrapyard.

350 is actually cheap. I remember quoting out the leather ones for my 05 I had and they wanted 1000+ for each cover so just for the front seats you are looking at 4000$ lol

But even the seat, top and bottom still sounds like it will be cheaper then a recover.

U pick will be hard but shouldn't be to much of an issue otherwise.

The kit I got was $1200 and I installed myself, there was about 8 to 10 hours work including the door panels, and much cut up hands LOL. The front seats in particular have many sharp edges.

In contrast to what McGuyver_3 preference I am really impressed with the Katzkin leather, it is buttery smooth while the factory leather feels like old shoe leather it is so stiff. When I bought my GT leather was an option, it later became standard in the GT. I so disliked the factory leather to my later chagrin I chose the cloth.

I only ever installed 1 kit of the katzkin and that was back in 07/08. I had already done the conversion in mine with the best leather kit option which at the time only cost me about 700$.
the differences I found. Please do not take this personal this is simply my comparison comparing both side by side.
The katzkin kit was much thinner in material. When I initially opened my kit I was overwhelmed by the smell of real leather and the car smelled like real leather for a good year until it either aired out or I just got used to it lol. The katzkin kit did not fit as nicely as mine did. You could see areas were it wasn't quite right and yes I did use heat guns and tried every trick in the book to make it look right The holes for the headrests had to be manually be cut in. Upon finishing the install the katzkin kit looked very plasticky.
Again these are my observations and opinions. No harm meant by this. Maybe they have changed their line up?

To be honest I didn't find the leather to be thin, now in saying that the only leather interior I could compare it with was a Honda Accord I had, I bought it used and the passenger and drivers seat pads were in sorry shape.

I ordered new covers from Honda and installed them, man was that stuff thin you could almost see through it. They weren't cheap either I think i paid about $1200 for both covers I also spent a further $600 on repair panels to fix area's on the other seats.
Anyway getting back to the Katzkin, I wasn't initially happy with the fit of the cover on the small half of the rear seat back, I took it off and reinstalled still didn't look quite right, so I decided I would have to live with it. However after two months of hot weather in the summer it molded it self perfectly to the foam seat back cushion and now looks super.
BTW no harm taken, I believe this is a forum for the sharing of ideas and help.

I'm not too comfortable in redoing all this myself. Is there a wholesaler to buy this product from or is it all online?
