Hey,

On the WUS forum they have a plugin to 'Like' posts, might be a cool feature to integrate here at Tm3.

Or even possibly up/downvote a thread?

Anyone else agree?

It eliminates "+1" and "^this." posts. It's a feature on another forum I frequent and it's really handy.

they do have it on the zx6r forum. i think its pretty neat. if someone likes a comment or photo more so i find it is reposted less

"Like" options are stupid. It just gives people more of a reason NOT to contribute helpful information.

People are more likely to be lazy and click "Like" over replying even a +1 or any extra information.

not necessarily, if someone doesn't have anything to add or contribute they will either read the thread and not comment anyways or just put a ^+1...

if they do agree and have something to add they can do both like it and contribute something else.

At least with a like feature if I was to ask a question like "what is the best big turbo for my car that money can buy" and someone replies with "you are dumb you are driving a 2.3 NA Mazda 3, use the search function"
the like function would eliminate the 50 or so comments saying the exact same thing "Dat 2.3 NA doe" "waste of money" "do you know how to use the search function "
and would enable me to realize that oh this isn't some guy being a douche and trolling me he is serious and 100 people liked his comment so they must agree..."now where is this search function"

not necessarily, if someone doesn't have anything to add or contribute they will either read the thread and not comment anyways or just put a ^+1...

There are definitely far fewer useless comments on boards with these functions. Just thinking that there won't be a difference or thinking the function is stupid doesn't make it so.
