Mention function in Quick Reply

Can we apply the "Mention" function to the Quick Reply pane as well?

All you have to do is put @ in front on the members name. I.e @Thrizzl3

I kinda agree, any chance we can have the option without selecting "Go Advanced" (forgot what it's called) first then seeing the option?


Once selecting it, couldn't we have a drop down menu as we you type it narrows down the members name? Kinda hate typing out Phil's member name and let alone remember how it's spelt lol

I'll have to see what I can do. I rarely use advanced reply. I just tag the user manually in my quick reply.

I imagine it's just allowing the function to appear in a different menu.

I didn't want my suggestion to be belittled into a "You don't know how to use the site" issue. As you can now see, I'm just the most vocal one within a group of users who wants TM3 to continually improve.

I was lightheartedly saying "ouch" at the "we know you don't know Vbulletin" comment. I'm not trying to belittle you. I was unaware there was a problem. Hell I didn't know it was different in advanced mode. Like Ami I do it manually.

Is there any way to program the mentiom function that you use the @ to mention the person but once the post is made you don't see the @?

It's a little thing but it drives me nuts seeing the @s

It's like hashtags...
