    Lightbulb Turbo or Supercharger covers

I'm not quite sure how it works but I heard the idea of putting a "thermo styled" cover for turbo or supercharger to prevent overheat problems. Don't quote me on this or anything, but I just want to ask folks who actually have or had turbos on their car, do you guys really use some sort of COVER?

You can get a turbo blanket that keeps heat where it needs to be in the system and helps to cool under hood temps. Some do ceramic coating.

Turbo blankets: Used when your turbo is tired or cold, couple with turbo pacifier for best results

What loki said... keeps the heat where it needs to be, helps with heat management in engine compartment by keeping it away from the intake air.

    Loki,

Do you run one with a stock turbo, or have you gone beyond to a larger one?

I should try and find it, you can make a turbo blanket from half of a pot. You cut it in half, and drill your own holes. Looks really good actually

Edit: Found it DIY Turbo heat shieldhttp://www.hotrodders.com/forum/dirt...ot-204399.html

not the same thread (i think i read it on 7club) but still the same thing
