I was looking for a new RMM since I removed the JBR trilogy. Thanks for the review!

Installed today thanks to Patrick ( @pwdunmore ) and it solved all my issues - shift slop, takeoff shudder and it feels new again so that's a huge bonus.

Minimal vibes (like seriously) and it's a sweet OEM upgrade, for sure.

so what ever happened to this efocus mount? was it good, or bad? anyone have a longer review of it? even though I took out my cpe.. I dunno still think I want to put the jbr chome molly in or at least something to get the life back out of it. but how is everyone enjoying this mount? what about the supporting mounts does anyone know if the side or passenger mount of the efocus is similar to ours? I know the regular focus is almost exactly the same

Mines out, missed the full on vibes. Better than stock sure, but for me the aftermarket solutions are better. Not sure if @Reddie1337 put it in yet.

can you think of anyone that has the jbr chrome molly?

    on there site its -

    MOTOR MOUNT BUYERS GUIDE:

    70 Billet:

    -Daily, spirited driving
-Designed for launching or hard shifting only when combined with the JBR Passenger Side and Transmission Side Motor Mounts

    80 Billet:

    -Daily, aggressive driving
-Designed for launching or hard shifting only when combined with the JBR Transmission Side Motor Mount

    Chrome-Molly:

    -Daily, aggressive driving
-Designed for launching & hard shifting with or without JBR Side Motor Mounts

because I don't plan to do the side mounts again. so I figure the more solid lower makes sense. just wondering how the daily drive / vibes are. for the few and far between harder / spirited drives I do

I had one for 2 years, Vibes aren't that bad with the stock side mounts. There is a noticeable exhaust tone resonance you will get with the 88a JBR mount which is nice if you like it lol.

The vibes in the cabin aren't terrible but you will notice the vibes at lower RPMs. With the AC/Defrost on you will hear the vibes more. If you want any more details let me know.

    JBR 88a RMM by itself = 3/10
JBR Trilogy 88a = 9/10 (Two side mounts + Rear mount)
JBR Trilogy 88a with Balance shaft delete = 10/10 (Two side mounts + Rear mount +BSD)

If you want a solid mount with less vibes:
    http://damondmotorsports.com/collect...ar-motor-mount

Good substitute for the CP-e Stage 2. It's what I have now and is doing well.

Just installed the 80d JBR rmm, but it'seems been in the car for 25 km total so no time on it.

Still running mine! Had a few track days and been dailying it since install. Went off the track and skipped off the coping with the oil pan(smashed oil pan) and nearly ripped off my oil pan (thank god for skid plate), but the motor mount held up fine against the impact lol.

I read through the whole thread and saw talk about this RMM fitting the gen 1s, was there a confirmation on that?

I wish the dealership here in Calgary had the same prices as you guys. Quoted me 104$ for the mount, 6$ for the bolt and the only car they found it would fit was their 2012 non-electric focus... When i said it was supposed to be on their electric focus cars he looked at me like i was an alien.

Just tell them you want the lower mount from the e focus. Tell them to look that up.

Hey guys. I bought the mount a little over a month ago now. Me and a friend installed it on my car and since then the shifting has been just as bad before i replaced the mount. The old mount was destroyed, and when we tried to take it out, the bolt was so rusted on and the mount was so destroyed that it just flexed and flexed without actually coming off. Once we did get it off however it was easy. We used the ford specific horizontal bolt.

Any ideas? Did i ruin my transmission by waiting too long to change the old mount out?

The parts that are awful are my 1st -> 2nd shift, it grinds going into second. 2nd -> 3rd it feels really loose (im curious if shifter bushings will help this or its just toast) and now 3rd -> 4th gear, which before my mount got really bad was the easiest gear to shift into, is now super notchy/resistant when going in. It feels absolutely awful. I have adjusted the shifter linkage numerous times, and no matter where i put it the 4th gear is awful.

    Any help would be swell.

You didn't ruin anything but your transmission problems have nothing to do with the motor mount.

It it sounds like your transmission is just worn out and needs to be rebuilt.

It's just weird to me. All of this happened suddenly. No gradual degrading of shifting. Just one day it was good, the next day it was bad. Third gear has always been a bit loose, but second gear started grinding around fall of 2014 and 4th gear was just in maybe december? The only reason i find it hard to believe is because 4th gear was absolutely perfect like it would be on any brand new manual car, then one day it is god awful. I did a transmission fluid change to the ford motorcraft stuff when i changed the mount, and there were no shavings of metal in the fluid that came out.

Wow that is insane pricing! Price around the GTA this past summer was around $50, although it may have gone up since then due to the USD exchange rate. You are almost better off ordering from Toronto and shipping out to Calgary!

Look around TM3..there are a couple threads with pics and Ford part numbers..

I ordered the part over a month ago haha... got it for 74$ shipped.

Just really frustrating. I haven't driven my car more than 10km for over 2 months partly because of the shifting :/

I don't know if it's the same for the mazdas as my car, but have you checked the condition of the shifter cables?
Once in a while the shifter cable can become damaged/break and then you'll have issues getting it into gear. Might not be the transmission, might be the cables. You could also check that there are no issues with the arms on the transmission. If there is a pin or bolt that holds the arm on and that becomes loose, that could be your issue. The engine mount isn't going to ruin your transmission
