Never purchased a BOV, so I'm not sure whats a good brand or not. I also see that there's hybrid types as well. Not sure whats the best for my 2010 speed3 lol
Let me know!

Get a BPV not a BOV
If your trying to go VTA (needs a tune or else dont) then theres lots of brands out there
same with BPV...all the same thing that does the job which holds boost just different brands
Forge
Corksport
HKS
Turbosmart
Greddy
Cobb
Etc...
Famous cheapest out there are the Forge v1 or v2 so as the Corksport BPV which both are less than $200

You can't tune around a BOV with these cars...you're dumping metered air between shifts and WILL run rich.
Also there is little reason to run an aftermarket BPV if your stock one isn't leaking.

^what he said.
I have the Cobb BPV though. Looks cool. Lol.
HkS can run vta no problem
You forgot Tial which is an awesome valve
If you have little to mo mods and all you want is a bit more noise then go with a Forge V2. Cheap and works well
If you're into spending the money
Thanks for the advice! Now what about cold air vs. short ram? I know cold air is better, but I have had a bad experience with a cold air on a previous car. As for short ram, I have heard 2 different stories. One, is nothing happens, its mostly just for sound, and a slight hp improvement. Or two, that its bad for your engine as its only bringing in hot air.
haha, thanks! So far I have been using SYN 5W30 from mazda.
Pennzoil Platinum or Ultra here for oil.
And just go SRI, they are less hassle by a long shot and the performance benefits happen when you tune, not bolting on hard parts really.

Thanks!
My biggest fear with SRI is that it will harm the engine.

good call lol
HAHA!
Lol the sri was probably the best first/second mod to put on the car. AP probably first. btw, I saw your near sq1. Me too, do you have a white speed3? I always see one driving around there.
no, mines black, with black rims
I have a Corksport BPV installed in my car and love it. No issues with it and it's a very fast reacting valve. Also, this valve has no turbo flutter issues like I had with my old HKS SSQV valve (low boost situations).
Highly recommend the Corksport BPV.
