Default Replacement/removal of the Mazda logo on the steering wheel/airbag

The clear came off the emblem and now the silver finish is going too and I can see the yellow plastic underneath. Has anyone ever replaced the emblem?

Looked into doing mine and found a couple options.. In logical order... You can replace the airbag yourself for about $90, you can wrap it, or you can dip it.

Replacing the airbag is a dangerous thing in the hands of someone not familiar with it. The last thing you want is a screwdriver launched at your face at over 100 miles an hour. Leave the airbag alone or let someone competent do it.

(On the other hand, if you can replace the cover or the emblem without screwing with the airbag underneath or the steering wheel itself, it's probably okay.)

I'll be plastidiping my worn down emblem soon. Just use a lot of newspapers+ tape and have all the doors open when very carefully spraying

Get a big clear plastic bag and create a bubble around the steering wheel when comes time to spray after taping, so any particles in the air will be either trapped in the bag or on the steering wheel. Contains it a little.

I could have sworn the NextMod and G16 sold decals for the steering wheels? Or was that just the inserts to go into the empty spaces of the logo?!?!?!

The emblem on the steering wheel? you have to remove the whole airbag off, to get to the back of the emblem. The emblem is held down by some type of plastic/stoppers
I haven't done it myself, but I have seen them on YT vids. My emblem is starting to peel and I plan to wrap it, cuz I'd prefer not to touch the airbag at all
