    Default Reflective decals legal?

I'm going to paint my calipers this spring, and I was considering reflective 'Mazda3' decals on them. Does anyone know if there are any specific legal issues with this in Ontario?

I would hate to clear coat over the labels, just to find I have to strip them all down and re-do them. So I ask for anyone that knows their stuff to set me in the right direction.

i wouldnt think they would be illegal. but theyll never stay clean enough to stay reflective for long.

You'll be fine. There are reflective center caps on cop cars, chrome wheels, and chrome cars.

Ask @-RJ3- as I remember him having reflective decals on the side of his car before. He could let you know if he came across any kind of police issues.

I've seen entire cars wrapped in chrome. I don't think a little 4" sticker will cause any issues

You'd have to be doing a much larger area in reflective vinyl to have any worries. No one would care about small caliper decals.

The thing thats on my mind is the spokes on the rims... As i drive, it could produce a flashing effect.

I was thinking blue decals on blue paint.

Your rim spokes would be moving way too fast to create a flashing effect.

I've had reflective vinyl on my plate frames for close to a year. It's not as noticeable as you'd expect.

thought that's illegal? camera with flashlight can't read your plate?

It's just the plate frame. They're TM3 plates with a blue border and reflective black logos. Doesn't obscure the plate itself any more than a normal TM3 plate cover and the reflective portions are relatively small.

I've never really had any attention because of them, positive or negative.
