Woohoo, finally a manual with the 2.5. When are the 2015 arriving?

So what GT configuration would NOT be available with a manual? GT with Technology?

I'm guessing the i-eloop will not be available with the manual box. Just a stab in the dark.

correct. GT MT only available with or w/o luxury pack. No tech pack for 2015.

iEloop recharges through the alternator. So it could be available.

As a separate option? That would be ideal. But somehow I doubt it. I think it's only going to be available to anyone who gets the 6speed auto since it's part of the "tech" package.

No worries.. I would still take the 6 speed manual with the Luxury package. That would be the ideal trim level for the new 3.

IMO, base GT with 6-speed is all that's needed. Don't need no stinkin' luxury. Instead, money should be spent by Mazda installing pinch-protection in the windows - a much better investment.

Another major change to the 2015 spec, is not a change by Mazda. Under the new NRC fuel consumption testing algorithm, all 2015 vehicles will see a dramatic move towards realism. For example, the GT (with AT but not Tech Pack) will be rated 8.7 city and 6.5 highway. The 2014 equivalent model was 7.5 and 5.4 respectively.

Which in layman's terms, EPA fuel economy numbers converted to L/100km. EPA numbers > Canadian numbers after all. Whenever a salesman tells me how their cars do so well according to the Canadian numbers, I just cut them off and tell them I use EPA MPG instead.

But then some would say that's not right because the gallons are different.

When will the new 2015 models be available?

Also, do we have pricing on the base GT with manual? I'm assuming it will be $1000 cheaper than the current base GT automatic?

Production has ceased on the 14s, and will commence on the 15s later in Jun. I've heard that the MT GT may be in limited supply for the first few months. It "should" be $1200 less if 14 pricing is anything to go by. Add in taxes, depending on where you live, that's about $1350.

+1 to this. The entire car looks fantastic (aggressive for it's class, and quite sporty) until you get to the back, and then it looks like a base-level econobox for this one simple reason.

Will the GX come with a tachometer on the MY2015?

No thanks. I'd rather make the starter last longer than save a few pennies on gasoline.

IIRC it uses engine combustion to restart it, not a starter motor.

You're right. Mazda is not engaging the starter, but is indeed using combustion to restart the engine.

nobody ever said "all"... it's an optional, but useful feature... it's simply implemented mostly via electronics, no mechanical upgrades/differences were made for the most part
