Just got an update on my GT, it's in TO right now waiting to be put on a truck to be delivered to my dealer. Mazda's website has updated to include the 2015 as well. Can't wait.
Long weekend is the next weekend.
The build feature is up and operating for the 15s on the MCI site.
What, if any, are the changes between 2014 and 2015 models?
Made in BC.
You can now buy a GT with a manual transmission. The downside? It's the same price as aut
You can get a Convenience Package for GX which now actually shows the tachometer. Previously, even manual GX models did not have the tachometer.
In the "Build & Price" for the MY2015 GT, I'm seeing a new feature for those who choose the automatic:
"Drive selection switch with SPORT mode"
馬自達 3 Sport GT 2006 - 27A (SOLD ) (2006-2015)
CX-7 stubby - Axela badge - MS CAI - LED 3rd Brake Light - Full LED flasher conversion
The 2014 3 GT has this sport mode feature. it is a button located in front of the gear selector

Just curious, does the 2015 Mazda 3 GT (2.5L) blip the throttle when you do a manual downshift in the Automatic transmission? And in the Automatic, with the car in Drive (D), when you hit the paddle to downshift, will it downshift and resume in Drive mode or do you have to put the car in Manual (M) mode first using the shift lever?
Lastly, do you think the GT models will stay Japan made or would they likely be moved to Mexico soon?
I'm saving up and expecting to buy a new car in the next year or two.
Not sure what you mean by blip... You certainly feel the resistance on the engine when you downshift. Not as greatly as a manual but it's there.
You can use the paddles at anytime during driving. It will resume Drive mode after a period of inactivity.
I have yet to hear plans of it moving to Mexico. I'll keep an eye on Vin numbers.

I will say for me it seems like any other automatic if you shift it manually, as in it works as it should and I'd expect it too. I'm loving the convenience of shift options on the auto. I love how the paddles are always "live" and then it swaps back to 'D' if you leave it alone. Also nice to have the shifter option of sliding it over and using the plus/minus. I really like the feel of the shifter on the auto, has a quality feel to it imo.
Lol I do only have 2.5k on it though.
Yayyyy can't wait to take delivery on my gs w/ convenience pack this thursday

Hey Jeff, I'm currently driving an 02 Protégé DX, and am looking to trade in soon for the 15 GS. What, typically, do you/would you offer as a max trade-in value for a pristine Protégé? I realize this is in need of more specifics, but I'm just asking for a ballpark figure so I can get a general idea of what I'd be looking at? Thanks.
P.S Apologies if this sort of q has been addressed elsewhere, but I couldn't find it using search function.
Hey Jeff, do you still work for Mazda?
