    Default r4BBiT's MZ3 log

I don't really see a section where to post logs from regular MZ3 so here it goes. Don't MZ3 owners do data logging?

I'm pretty new to this and reading RomRaider is not as helpful as their subbie ECU's seem to work little differently.

    - I'm just experimenting with Torque and wanted to know if I'm on the right track?
    - Also does my engine really knock so much?
    - Looks like my AFR are getting quite rich be the end of the pull, do I need to get my MAF scaling adjusted lean them out?

Please note that this is 3rd gear pull with stock O2 sensor and I ran out of road so I didn't reach redline.

    Moved to performance section.

Most Mz3 owners do not log. Talk to @Hyperion and @Canadianbacon they are both logging and tuning their MZ3's

I spend three days researching the web and learning how to decode scangauge numbers (TXD, RXF, and MTH). I'm actually planning to write (free) MZ3 plugin for Torque that will correctly configure Knock Retard.

No, it does not. At least not for Mazda.

If,anybody knows the PID mazda used for the knock Sensor, that's all we would need since we can add our own PIDs but that info isn't readily available

You also need the equation in order to translate the sensor voltage signal into human readable values.

I bet that's why, when logging, my,knock Sensor is giving me 120degree timing retard when there is no,possible way of that happening

Your AFR looks about right for stock ( 2.0L? )

Your Knock retard also looks correct, and it is easy to see because your ignition timing is also dropping. Don't be surprised that the stock tune Knocks quite a bit, and is rich as hell.

IAT and MAF flow rate look wrong.

    Thanks for the reply

Yes, it's a 2.0L. Why would the IAT look wrong? (its in celsius btw.)
