Events 1 and 2 of the Mobil 1 Time-Attack series at the new CTMP Driver Development Track are now history. Winner of event 1 was a Mazda RX-8 in GT2 class with an MX5 Miata winning Touring 1 class and 4th overall. This track was new to us and so total entry was limited while we gained experience at running a competitive event at this track. As it turns out both events 1 and 2 sold out ahead of time.

Fortunately no such restriction applies at this time for events 3 and 4 on June 21-22 at Shannonville Motorsport Park. We will be running the fast Pro track on Saturday ( good place for a Mazdaspeed3 to stretch its legs) and the more technical but longer (4 km) full track on Sunday. This will be the only opportunity to go to Shannonville this season with any time attack series that I am aware of. Lots of 3rd gear corners and lots of runoff makes this a great track to learn car control. BTW, full Mazda Canada contingency program is in effect. Makes it pretty cheap to run.

Next up is the Time-Attack school at the CTMP Mosport Grand Prix track. School and lapping positions are available for Saturday as well a few spots for Time-Attack competition on Sunday. This is a real thrill of a track (3rd fastest road circuit in the world according to some behind Monza and Spa) but not one you want to start out at without some good instruction (which we can provide with certified instructors).
