Default 2.5L with Phantom Electronic supercharger TUNED DYNO RESULTS.

This is a 2.5L (mods are intake, header, exhaust) with the Phantom Electronic Supercharger setup ~4-5psi down low about 1psi by redline.
    http://www.phantomsuperchargers.com/
Before anyone questions that this is a "ebay junk cheap plastic wanna-be" This is not. This is the real deal electronic Supercharger that creates real positive pressure, completely solid, aluminum housings and compressor wheel.

    Custom Boost Tuned by OV-Tuning.

Here it is with the smaller of the 2 Electronic superchargers offered: Base (N/A) vs tuned S.C. (36WTQ gain)

and again with the slightly Larger S.C that they offer and tune. (awaiting graph from customer) but the End numbers of 3 runs were 210WTQ and 178WHP. ( here is a pic of run 1, before allowing the supercharger -recharge rate.)
    a gain of : 55WTQ and 18WHP.

It runs on SLA batteries? I thought those don't like to be deep cycled. Seems like it's a honking huge brushless DC motor running the compressor. How's the temperature tolerance on the DC motor?

The part that bothers me is how long you can have it in continuous operation before the battery voltage craps out. It seems like the gain is mostly in the low & mid range, which is great for "driveability" , but if the battery drains, then it's really only good for brief uses like drag racing.

I'm not sure exactly what batteries is uses, but I know it can with-hold 90 seconds of continuous boost before needing to recharge. Which is more than anyone will get on a street, or 1/4 mile run.

From what I have been told by the manufacturer, these brushless motors are top notch quality ( price around $600.00) and do not even get hot during boost runs. And they are designed for maximum longevity with speeds of up to (If I remember right 55,000 RPM).

It does maximize low through mid range, and makes pretty astounding torque for what it is.

Longevity has been tested, this person has been daily driving with this kit on his car for I believe a year + (not 100% sure) and the manufacturer also has a new improved voltage controller and battery packs.

Isn't there a contact form on the website?

I can also attest that it's legit. Read all about my experience here.

For what it's worth, I don't think track (road course) use is a good application for this. Drag strip... sure. No problem.

On the street... I actually tried really hard to run down the battery and simply couldn't do it under anything resembling even the most enthusiastic real-world driving.

I think I blew the control box when I finally resorted to driving full-throttle while dragging the brakes to maintain speed, though I don't think anyone will argue that was anything but straight-up abuse of the equipment.

I'm really not sure what to tell you. They may well be having trouble just keeping up with demand from the FRS/BRZ and Miata guys. Who knows?

    I've never dealt with Mike.
