Default My subs are going back in

My bro is giving a LOC. I have my JL w3's 2x12 in bassworx reference series. Don't remember specs on stiffening cap, 1000 watts rms American audio monoblock. I'm deciding whether I should sound deaden with it at install. The system was very loud in my truck, I will obviously have to set up the eq again through the stock deck, as close as possible. Anyone have experience in excess?

Change your deck too. you loose way too much power!

my cars not sound deadened with 2 12s and 1200 watt mono block.. hit 140.9

its fine without it. always better with it.

+1 to what Ryan said. Those subs will hit soo much harder with a deck vs LOC. I used one for 5 years and it wasn't bad but you don't get the quality that you would with an aftermarket head unit. Especially seeing as how your running W3s with a wicked amp. As for the sound deadening I started out with about 6 cans of Rocker Guard from Canadian tire. Made a great difference to my setup. Then I picked up 8 sheets of sound deadening (same thing as Dynamat just a different brand) and put 4 on my trunk lid itself and 4 above the sub (under the plastic piece that is above the trunk) and I love the sound coming from the trunk now. Keep in mind I'm running a W7 in a HO box and a 1500W JBL amp. But for a really nice sound that you will feel throughout your body, sound deadening is definitely worth it.
They say I'm an addict but I don't have a problem with alcohol or drugs. I'm an addict because I can't live without bass. Car audio is my addiction. And it will never change.

Just do it all. Aftermarket deck, amp, and sound deadening with dynamat type stuff on doors and trunk. Did it all to my ride. Sounds great!

I've still got leftover "dynamat". Not a problem with that. I just really don't want to upgrade right now, I don't want to lose my instantaneous gas mpg. Does the dashhawk do that?
