Default The skinny on a used 2014 Mazda 3? Whats a good price for it?

If someone was looking to buy a 2014 model mazda 3, are they better off financially speaking buying new or buying used (perhaps dealer test model)? And if buying used, is it better to buy now or wait another year or so?

Normally car values depreciate at the fastest rate within the first two years. And once a new car is driven off the lot, its value immediately depreciates. So new cars are a luxury and cars in general are a depreciating asset. The 2014 Mazda3 is still relatively new within one year of release but there are already some used Mazda3s available:

My preference for the 2014 Mazda3 is that it at least has a screen and has a back up camera. Ideally I'd like to add GPS too, but I don't mind adding that at a later date. How much is that to add GPS in after market or by the dealer (supposing a model doesn't have GPS but has backup camera only)? I don't mind whether it is hatch back or not.

According to the dealer above, it looks like they run around $24K before taxes for some of the used models. Can you often haggle the price down some more?

My question is if these used Mazda3s are a good deal or not? Whats the best going rate for a new Mazda3 with a backup camera now? Also, should I wait until another year when it depreciates more or when new models come out? When is the best strategic time to buy the car? Also, any more comments you'd like to add regarding buying used dealer test models? Is buying new a better deal in your mind (just knowingly asking a dumb question in case you have some logic behind it)?
