    Default Voice Training Feature

    Hi all,

Spending some time exploring the functionality in my 2015 GS. On the Mazda.ca owners section, where all the infotainment details are located, there is an item called voice training, which is supposed to improve the quality of the voice recognition system. I've tried to follow the instructions but cannot get the voice training process started.

I've done some half hearted searching but cannot find anything on this. Anyone else know what this is all about?

    Thanks,

    Slice.

Emailed Mazda. This was the response:

Thank you for contacting us in regards to your Infotainment system. The voice training feature was a feature on some of our older systems but is not a feature on the Connect system which is in your 2015 Mazda 3.

    So there you go.

What about going through the Tutorial? There are a few different kinds when you prompt for it.

The voice recognition is fantastic, better than any car I've driven in, I was driving down the highway at 120 with windows open music playing and it still picked up everything perfectly

I've never had a problem with the system not understanding me, the problem is usually that I don't know which words I'm supposed to say to get the system to do what I want. I guess that's something that only really comes with time and practice.

I have no problem with mine sometimes.. I don't know if I have an accent or something cuz sometimes it won't recognize what I'm saying.. I have to put up my windows and turn the sound off and yell sometimes which still doesn't help.. but like I said it only happens sometimes.. I don't know what her issue is but I'm okay putting up with it.. I still gotta delete the previous owner's command that @CarLadyLisa instructed me to do..

While your at it @Noobster12 say 'Voice/Confirmation Prompts' and turn those suckers off. "Do you want to call Dave?" YES Lady! Thats what I said a millisecond ago.
If you don't want to call that person just press the hang up button a bunch of times like I do.
You'll have so much more success when you reprogram the phonebook.
