    Question Compustar Drone

    hey folks,

does anyone currently have or have had experience with the Compustar Drone system? I am thinking of getting it for my car and I'm wondering if its really worth it compared to a "dumb" 2-way remote start/security system. I've checked with Lockdown and the upfront cost of a Drone system is pretty much the same as a normal one with only the subscription being the additional cost. Has anyone had any problems with the system? does it really work well? are there any risks? i guess the major question I have is: is it worth it??

    i appreciate your feedback!

It was a great system and never had any problems with it. However, the only downside is that it depends on your cellular range so it can't operate if you or the car are deep underground. Otherwise, starting the car a few minutes before I got to the car in the winter was a great option. Jump in a drive away in a warm car. You could do the same in the summer and have the car nice a cool when you step in.

The GPS function was nice so you could track where your car is, how fast it was driven and set various notifications. My dealership knew I had this installed so they couldn't dick around.

Did you receive an insurance break on this feature?

5% savings plus another 5% for running winter tires. Not bad plus the peace of mind really can't be measured on both items.
