I love TM3. Didn't know what battery I needed. Looked on here, done deal. 24F available in peterborough confirmed. No cold start issues anymore.

Looks like the batteries have gone up in price - no thanks to the dollar being in the toilet. The 24F is now $93, up from $85 back in the fall.

Update: Price has gone up again at Costco for the 24F - now $99.99
Finally replaced the original factory Panasonic battery in my 2010 with the Kirkland 24F. The starter sounds and feels much stronger! Glad I got this done before the winter. And lots of room in the gen2 battery box. I had to fiddle with the negative post connector (make it tighter) as the negative terminal on the 24F was a bit smaller. Love the built-in handle too. Will see how things go for the next week and then I will return the old battery for my $10 core refund.
Lots of fresh (10/15) 24F stock at the Markham location (Woodbine and 407)

Hi thanks for the thread. Car wouldn't start this morning and had to jump start it. Came across this thread and wanted to buy the 24f. Called Costco and they told me they don't carry battery for my car (2010 3 GS 2.0L Auto), I then asked them if they have the 24f and they said yes $100+tax, 3 yrs full warranty and 5yrs prorated. I asked if I could come and buy it but the customer rep told me they won't sell me if it is not right size for my car. My question is if I can buy it from Costco somehow will the warranty be void because I am using it in a car whose battery size is not 24f.
Thanks in advance.
Whoever you talked to was blowing smoke out his ass.
The batteries at Costco are self-serve, just like everything else except tires. Find the battery section, grab a 24F, toss it in the cart and take it to the checkout. Pay for it. Done
And no, it won't affect your warranty in the slightest.

thanks.
take it one more step, if you recall the persons name you were speaking to, tell the manager.

No I don't. Has anyone experience ur car stalling while idling after replacing the battery with 24f battery. I am reading some ppl are having this problem in some forum.
Might take a full drive cycle to sort itself out... removing the battery resets the ECU's parameters so it has to relearn.
I assume 24f lasts longer than an 8?
I have that in my car
I am thinking it should last longer for at least two reasons. 1) Since the larger battery starts out with more overall capacity: compared to a smaller battery, for the same percentage degradation over time the larger battery will have higher output. 2) The less you can avoid deep-cycling a car battery the less charge-cycle wear. Since a hard winter start will draw down the capacity of the larger battery less there should be less wear on it. Hmmm... as I type this I am thinking those two reasons may actually be essentially the same. Or not?
