I'm contemplating to install sound deadener in my 2013 sedan. Most likely gonna start with the 4 doors.
Anyone have any experience to share? IE - it's effectiveness, will it cost any problems down the road etc..??
Thanks in advance!

I used B-Quiet in my old sedan. Product worked well, and was cost effective. One factor to consider, you are adding weight to the car.

Thanks! As long as it works well...the 407 is now my daily commute and we all know how noisy our 3's are.
I am also aware of the weight. From what I've read it will add about 25lbs to the car. If you spread that 25lbs across the 4 doors it shouldnt be too bad.
Thanks for the input!
I went all out with KnoKnoise in my car when it was released. That stuff is great... I added the equivalent of an additional passenger to my car with my entire ICE upgrade (wires/sub/amp/deadener...).
lol thats overkill man.....
I know, but I have no regrets. Followed suit by building a fiberglass enclosure and stuffing my JLW7 in the wheel well this summer.
i have a big ass roll of B-Quiet sitting around at home forever, like 1ft x 40ft at least.
have no use for it, not sure if the adhesive is still good or not? I guess nothing a heat gun can't help
if anyone's interested, throw me some beer money lol

Not entirely. My trunk with the two different types of sound deadening (some sort of dynamat as well as. 7 cans of rubberized spray) with my W7 in the high output box, two amps, amp rack, as well as a 3/4" MDF wood flooring I'm at around 200 lbs in my trunk. But it was worth it huge. I intend to get the rubberized spray and do my doors as well as the underneath of my car. @ace_master. How the hell did you get a W7 to fit in the wheel well when it's massive? that just looks like it would be above the carpet haha. Unless you got a shallow mount.

They say I'm an addict but I don't have a problem with alcohol or drugs. I'm an addict because I can't live without bass. Car audio is my addiction. And it will never change.
I was always a fan of second skin:

@jaimie08mazda3. I think you're referring to the spare tire well... Mine is mounted on the side behind the driver side wheel well. Here is a couple pics ...
Not quite done with the trim pieces yet. My only bone to pick is my spoiler and rear wiper rattle with it.

That is seriously awesome bro! My entire car rattles with mine so I can understand haha.
I had spoiler rattle and wiper motor rattle with my old sub. Was planning on dipping the underside of the spoiler, and running some sound deadener of sorts in the hatch lid. Blew that sub though, now I'm just on the prowl for a decent deal on some sound deadener for my doors.
I picked up a W0 off of a member on here for a decent price, simply because it fit. If I had money, I'd throw a "better" sub in, but it's just not a priority. Perhaps some new speakers first.
Not a bad sub. Just don't over power them. Or get a set of really old ones lol. I always look for good deals on W7s and I want another one for a dual box haha. Speakers can cost a lot. Check eBay. I picked up a set of re xxx 6.5 for like 280 done and done. Not bad when you look at clarity.
