Gah. Anyone else ever panic for a second and lock up their brakes?
I'm just sitting here like a moron waiting for caa now.

Nah, no damage or anything.
Just mad at myself for losing control like a beginner driver lol.
Was waiting for CAA but they were gonna take over an hour.
Some rednecks showed up in a truck randomly, observed my vehicle was "right dickered" so they offered to get the car out with a strap. With one heave and a "f*ckin give er in reverse bud" we got it out.
Pretty sure they were drunk but what do I care. Haha

Happens...and happens quickly.
Just be thankful there was nice soft snow to cushion the impact. I'd recommend an alignment just to be on the safe side.

Poop happens. Looks like nice soft snow you went into.
Ooo jeez. At least you're finally out and you're alright. Lessons learned right here

Don't worry I pull like 10-20 people a year out of the ditch atleasr you didn't cross lanes and get t-boned like I saw Thursday on highway 12 by beverton
Definitely unfortunate, and doesn't feel great to see yourself losing control of your own vehicle, but as others have said, it happens. Looks like you got very fortunate with no damage. And **** as others have mentioned, awesome story getting pulled out lol
I rechecked the area, I was in the hills around Bancroft. There was a right angle turn on an 80 road with no sign. Thought I was crazy, but as I said. I rechecked. Accidentally locked up the brakes and as soon as that happened I just sat there like. God dammit.
@Arbitrageur Lowering springs in the summer
Yeah CAA was all like "we can't accept Longitude and Latitude to find where you are we need your exact coordinates" I was like.... Wat. No idea where I was lmao.
What highway near Bancroft ? I travel through that area all the time used to live near haliburton
Like. I have gloves/touque/sweater/snacks+frozen water bottles in the trunk? I never leave without some sort of jacket so I would've been fine if the car didn't work.
I was just chillin watching archer on my Eonon screen while I waited. I was not unhappy. Haha
@mazdasport wasn't a main road. Some backwoods cottage roads. On my gps they were blue instead of the normal Grey roads.
**** man that sucks, I did the same thing with my civic back in the day . Except there was a pole involved...
Back in my day "back in the day" used to mean something!
Yeah I'm 22. Ha

I did similar thing this Saturday, except instead of panic I looked back at the guy that almost hit me cutting the turn (crossed the yellow line) and when I turned by head back there was two cars in front of my fully stopped at stop sign. Needless to say I locked my wheels as well and I knew I'm not going to make so I turn right and car sled beside the car in front of me, lol.
I got lucky though and there was no damage as well. This happened in Dundas area on those twisty/hilly roads.

It can happen to anyone, important thing is you are okay and nothing more serious or untoward happened.

@geobur that's the point. Like. Come on CAA, you can do better than that. They wouldn't take my exact coordinates. XD
@Timotee Yeah I know that doesn't mean I have to be happy about it. I generally expect better out of myself than I do other people. It's a pride/stubbornness thing.
@r4BBiT Yeah that is pretty lucky, I mean. Worst care scenario I wreck my own car. Worse case scenario you wreck yours AND theirs. Glad you got lucky as well!
