Wow! Beast mode!
The unpainted look generally works for me except for up around the pillar.
Looks pretty cool though.

Ah yes. Loki is wise.

Looks good! Assuming you are gonna paint the fenders and flares?
Paint matched or not, I absolutely love this thing.
You should do the rear end in silver a la VW Harlequin; chromatic version

Forged internals + GTX2871r

This is the opposite of what I usually suggest but ever considered a black rocker?
@Dave_The_BMXER
I have, just not sure if it's best to do the skirts black and put them back on, or leave them off, but then I need to deal with all the mounting holes.
Ah yeah that is a tough one... I feel skirtless suits the raw look you are going for.
What lip are you running?
DG Motorsports, the fiberglass one.
It was on the car for 36 months in all weather and held up well. Took it off late last season and needed some love on the underside. It's a nice piece, you take it out of the box, it fits very well and comes with hardware. Rattle canned it with Subaru Obsidian Black and clear.
@loki
Got it through Sure. It was something in the area of $175, but it's listed as $300 now.
Ended up putting the side skirts back on, tires still look wide so I'm happy. Painted the fenders, bumper and (re-painted) the DG lip in Dupli-Color Subaru Obsidian black. The Dupli-Color 'Perfect Match' clear coat is garbage, after driving 600 km on the highway the front lip was already super beat looking. Ended up using the Dupli-Color Acrylic Enamel Clear and after 300 km of highway driving I'm quite happy with how it's held up.
On the mechanical side switched to VTA which hurt drive-ability at the top of 1 and 2 doing moderate speeds, but otherwise makes all the right noises. EGR block-off plates went back in and checked all FMIC clamps for leaks. Still have to do some work with the side-mounts and need to put in the SafeSeals that have been sitting on the shelf for over a year.
Other than that, attended the 519 Meet last Sunday and finally had some time to wash the car.

- My Ride!
Damn, I was wondering why your flares were cut so similar... I'm honored! Annnnnnd envious that your flare job actually came out looking a lot better than mine. Those 265/35's look beefier in the sidewall than my 285/30, it seems much more "right".
I'm sure you have this covered, but garage door sealing strip (the L/J-shaped neoprene foam one) makes a perfect material to seal up the gap between the flare and the body. Looking forward to when this'll be done!
@color0 I'm very appreciative of the time you put into your ride threads. Lots explanation and solutions. Glad you also went to NT03, though they must suck to clean.
Wish I went a little wider (not quite as wide as you), at least 10 wide with 275, but c'est la vie. I think the Gen II even non-Speeds can accommodate more wheel/tire.
I'll check out the garage door sealing strip. The bed cab foam was to be a temp, but I really haven't done anything about it since the first install.
@Thrizzl3 ........this guy.........though debating to do another one to see if anything has changed.
I've heard they're about 6-10mm different (depending on source) which I can kind of corroborate, 9.5+10 actually won't fill out my flares haha.
Anyhoo, I wouldn't recommend going too much wider. 285/35/18 is too tall and 285/30/18 is an oddball size that practically leaves you in racing-tires-only domain. 265/35 is a good place to be for a street tire.
