2004 Aux Potential?

Hey guys, I know this has probably been addressed 1000's of times. But just curious options for putting a Aux potential into my 2004 GT Sedan. I saw there was a way to splice wires and solder them, but supposedly it's inconsistent with 04's. Then I know there's also GTA Car Kits but I'd rather save the money if there's an easier way of doing things.

I got an 05 mz3 and 04-05 are very similar. I splices wires and solder them and it works perfectly fine. Try it, if it works good. If not, then get the GTA Car Kits.
