u dont need a expensive one,just look for a used one for 40 bucks

You don't need a turbo timer at all, just don't drive like a retard and you'll be fine (i.e. on the boost all the way up until you park your car).
And in the rare occasion you have been pushing your car, don't shut it off right away.
