    Default running rich at wot

i did some logging today but my car seems to be running rich at WOT. fuel pressure seems ok. im targetting 16.5psi but i never get it in 3rd gear. i took it to jimmy couple weeks ago and he said there is no boost leak. in 4th gear i get around 16 psi. but not in 3rd. anyone has any comments as of why is it so rich now? it didnt do that before.

Switch your blowoff valve to full recirc and see if it fixes the rich AFR. Could also benefit from a MAF cal

Should only show up between shifts unless the BOV is leaking metered air to atmosphere.

    Nah, what fun is that?

For the record, I gave you good feedback...get a tune. If Jimmy says there isn't a mechanical issue, than it's obviously your tune.

That shouldn't do anything, since the bpv or bpv doesn't come into play at WOT

guess its not the valve then...usually with rich AFR issues its usually a leak or the tune itself. Try a MAF cal and see if that helps

yeah a custom OTS tune should keep you satisfied until you get your other mods...thats what I did until had all the mods and then got a full custom tune

Technically gen2's use fuel trims during WOT unlike gen1's...so regardless of MAF cal it should run fairly close to target unless it's WAY off or is throwing it into a strange place in the tables.

Even if he doesn't get a tune right away, he should try running a different applicable map (Stage 0, stratified OTS, etc) to see if it makes a noticeable difference in AFR's.

Uh yes you have knock, it's not major (ie <1) but it's still knocking. Just the pig rich fueling will provide extra cooling which help prevents early detonation a bit.

Would probably help if you post the map you were running when you took the log. That way you can compare your targeted vs logged values.
