Ontario doesn't issue Fix-it tickets. If you never went into the police station, nothing would have happened.
I do see you're listed as a Michigan resident though. Many American states do issue fix-it tickets.

Fatherly advice from my dad to you guys (he was an OPP mechanic for like 20+ years): It's technically illegal to have anything other than white and amber lights at the front of your vehicle, as well as illegal to have anything other than red and amber at the back (to signal to others at night what is the front vs the back of the vehicle). Anything flashing or strobing is a horrible idea. Stay away from red and blue as they are specific to emergency vehicles and more likely to get caught. Other colours are your own choice, if you see a cop at night just flick them off, in the end it's illegal but it's their discretion whether to come after you or not.
I never understood why people put so much money into their cars...and then I finally bought one.
OH jeez, this thread was more about if it was illegal or not and how often people get pulled over for having coloured fogs other than yellow.
I'm not saying i could always get away with just taking the vinyl off and it be a fix, im just saying i've heard people do that and it was fine. Obviously that's not always the case. worse case i get a ticket and i know to take the tint off and not do it again.
And yes, nat i am a she thanks
Update:
I went ahead with purple vinyl (like 5 layers of it because it was so transparent) and purple LED bulbs with matching licence plate bulbs. It's been just over a year and haven't been pulled over... yet. (fingers crossed) I mainly drive in and around Hamilton because that's where I live, but i also drive to Windsor at least once a month as well as the GTA and Niagara regions. Guess I've just been lucky? haha
Nice! I haven't heard of anyone getting pulled over for tinted fog lights. I tinted mine over 2 years ago, driving through Toronto, Ottawa (where I live now) and Montreal constantly. No issues! Haven't even gotten pulled over for my window tints in Quebec where I work and they use that as a real cash grab on Ontario drivers over here.
