Default What to do with interior pieces

Took all the interior trims off my car to change the color over the winter. The original plan was to wrap them but tbh ive never done any vynil wrap and some pieces seem kind of tricky. The other option would be paint im just not sure how it would look. Has anybody painted these? How do they look.

Would a shop charge me a lot of money to wrap them?

    these are the pieces.

thats how my interior looks as of now lol.

Feel free to share your thoughts

I used this vinyl paint I picked up at Canadian tire.
I've heard of guys using paint guns as well.
They look decent if you keep your coats thin.
I'm not sure how much a shop would charge but i can't see the! Charging a lot.
There is another, more expensive option. Hydro-dipping.
I believe there's a shop in Milton that does it called
    Liquid carbon
    Wild Turkey Customs.

Wrapping them is relatively easy and cheap, plus removable down the road in case you don't like it, want something new, or sell. Take your time, use a hair dryer or heat gun to work around the corners, etc. Start on a small piece to get the idea of how to do the complicated sections.

I've painted a few pieces of trim before....What I do first is apply a few coats of dip then use Testors model paint. It might be from years of painting my nails that makes me feel confident enough to do by hand and have it come out smooth but if ever I don't like how it looks I can just peel it off because of the dip underneath.

Started on the door trims to see how they looked and practise for the center consoles...

So far ive had some issues with the so called "orange peel" for the affected pieces i resanded and started all over again to try and do it better

I dipped in my car because my first attempts at vinyl were bad. Then with some patience, i wrapped my wife's car and did a much better job with that. i may take my dip off and try the vinyl again.

Dip is at a year and a half old and holding up strong. probably about 8-10 coats of Koi orange and glossifier

I had a buddy of mine got some pieces under his hood done by an artist who used a sharpie to design some stuff. Was pretty cheap as well, considering it is one of a kind work. If you were looking for something unique I'm sure you could do the same on interior pieces. I could get the number for you if you want.

You can check out some of the stuff he did on his instagram somewhere : @lucky_genny

on either side of the heater core the two wires have loops on the end that hook on. You may be able to unhook it, but i just took out the Philips screws that held the little loop holder plate on both sides

In the corners on the back there are 4 small screws, once you get them out, which is a pita I might add. You can unhook the front face plate. I tried for a long time to get those wires out of the heater/ac unit and never could.
