How do I go about removing my headliner my 3 has a sunroof?
How do I go about removing my headliner my 3 has a sunroof?
I haven't taken one out on the 3, but I think it's about the same as on other Mazdas. Take our all the upper pillar trims. Remove sun visors, and interior lights. Pull out the trim around the sun roof. Remove any remaining trim clips. Pull the headliner down and out.
I'm pretty sure they do, as the headliner tucks in behind them (albeit only by 5mm or so). But to bring it down without folding it much the pillars need to be out of the way.
Although you need to be aware of the airbags, you can generally pull the trim out without doing anything special. However if you want to be extra safe, disconnect the battery and step on the brake pedal for 10s to drain any residual power in the system.

Sunroof has 2 push tabs at the front that need to be slightly push to allow 1 st bypass of sliders. Then only 1 x-mas tree pin holding it in on the passenger side at the rear / sunroof slides out “ cloth part”
