Default e-test time .... Northern Ontario guy

Sooooo I just moved down south, and I officially have to get an e-Test. Problem is, when I bought the car, there was issues with the EGR, and / or the Purge Valve. I was throwing a couple of codes. AP of course eliminates them, but I was told that they can see when you cleared and hid codes.

    True? Or ?

If there is a real issue with it, what's the rule? Can I still pass with an engine code showing? I was told no.

    Anyone able to enlighten me?

Also if this is the wrong forum, please move it.

You cannot pass with an engine code showing

AP will block the EGR code but that means it'll show on their system as not ready. You can have 1 not ready

Ok, so 1 is fine for a pass. I think we're good then !

I wonder if I should just replace the Purge Valve and be done with this lol.

That's the route I'd take. Might as well right? I assume you'd be doing it later on anyway. And I don't think it'd be too long/expensive of an fix.

Yeah it'll be done eventually. They're fairly cheap.

I'll find a good one in a part out or buy one from RockAuto

if you get a good price let me know. I need the purge sensor and the cheapest i can find is $130 USD. But even then, i have no idea where the module is to swap it.

    edit,
nevermind, purge was the cheap one, i did that. i need a new fuel leak sensor
