08 mazda 3 aircon filter change help

I have noticed the funky odor is now being prominent on my car nowadays especially this winter time havent change it for 3 years in a row I think lol I need help tell me which tools I needed to install the new air filter and can somebody do it for me? please pm me well discuss the price thanks

perhaps someone else can chime in, but i thought for 05-08 you didn't need to remove the glovebox and fusebox, i thought it was only 2004 that it was ridiculous like in the link.

if you have to remove it, should take you about an hour, if you can get away with just the side kick panel, then maybe 15 minutes (going off doing a Gen 2 cabin filter)

Nope it all has to come out for 04-09. It's a huge PITA and if the connectors to the computer aren't reconnected correctly you will have issues.

Eh, it's not that bad a job. I found the most difficult part was unbolting the computer bracket.... the nuts were on super-tight. Needed a long extension and a swivel socket to get enough clearance to swing the ratchet. Lousy time of year to being doing this sort of work outside though... you end up half-lying on the ground outside the car.
