Default CBK vs MaxBrakes Brakes and Rotors

    Hi all,

I'm actually kind of new to the forum (joined a long time ago but never read a lot). But a buddy of mine highly recommends I check with you guys on stuff. So I was hoping some of you guys can PLEASE help me out in regards to choosing some new breaks. Right now I am trying to determine if I should buy CBK breaks and MaxBreaks.

I know some people in the forum have used MaxBreaks Slotted and drilled and the experience seems great. So that's a Pro for those guys, and I heard for a con there maybe some slight squeaking? and has anyone tried a CBK break? From my searches I haven't been able to get anything on CBK breaks

any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

Are you looking just OEM replacements? or performance-oriented?

Using max breaks drilled/slotted Rotors no issues. I would only buy from max when they run their 50% off sale.

Unless someone is having a huge sale, oem has proven best bang for buck for many.
Or rather, best lack of bang.
Modifications? I've forgotten more than I remember. Click here for the list.

agreed! I have 127 000km still on stock pads and rotors. service them every spring. prolly have about a year or so left on mine if I wanted to. and I would bet on lizzs car about the same - shes at 114 000km now. slight vibrations noticed when braking but not enough to worry about replacing the brakes now.

OE blanks kit is currently $113 USD ($160 CAD) and the slotted crossdrilled kit is $125 USD ($176 CAD)

Definitely a good deal. I'll probably pick up another set then wait til spring to install
