Nice steering wheel, but that is expensive.

I think in USD it's very reasonable. It's only our exchange rate that kills it. Although for an OEM look, under 500 CAD also isn't that bad (ignoring shipping).

Now having said that, this photo shows that the dimensions are unfortunately constricted by the lower trim piece. The original wheel already tucks in closely to the silver bit at the bottom, so the CS one has to elongate the bottom arcs to meet the flat bottom.

Kinda negates the point of a flat bottom wheel IMO. I figured this might have been the case when I was looking at my wheel in comparison to the CS first gen flat bottom wheel. Still looks nice and thick, with good thumb grips. But the stretched look would bother me.

Palming a turn would be a pain in the ass.

Looks a bit like the Kenstyle wheel from Japan.

It's pretty good, got one recently and had it installed. nice big grips, better than the OEM one! Definitely feel much better and gave better control of the car.

So quick review for you guys.

It's bigger than the OEM one and more hand grip for sure. It's quite nice. I feel more confident doing spirited drives and turns (my coils help too), but overall good grip. Not worth the price, looks nice too, but I agree, the elongated look is "meh" it also feels more hollow and lighter than the OEM one.

So, not worth the price from your experience?

No, I wouldnt say so. Maybe if the exchange rate was 1:1

Good and comfortable wheel none the less, but I don't see why it's so expensive.

I would buy it if their shipping wasn't so damn expensive. It's about $100 and then add another $100 for import fees. Just not reasonable for a mostly cosmetic mod.

I would agree ...exchange rate and shipping and then import processing by UPS. If you are ordering several items. I waited until they a deep discount (i dont remember it was between 10% -15% off) Plus if you register/create an account your purchases collect points and if you pay for the yearly membership your points can double on certain purchases or you get bonus points which can be redeemed. Anyways with discount and points/dollars redeemed was worth it... I had the GX steering wheel it was hurting my hands.... I LOve this one

Yeah the plastic GX wheel sucks, I upgraded to the leather GT wheel to get the steering controls too. How are you liking this one? Any issues with it? I have points and a store credit (their DRL lights died on me) but I might spend it all on the exhaust.

You should spend it on the exhaust ... just for the corksport fit alone (i think now also have high flow cat downpipe options)

GX has no buttons on the steering wheel so none of those extra gadgets ( less weight ). It looks very sport /race with no buttons on it just Mazda Logo. The best investment made my arthritis fingers ( inherhited from my dad) love me for every day.
